About The Role

Join Our Team as a Business Analyst!
 
HomeServe are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Technology & Change Team in Walsall. You will play a key role in driving process improvement and digital transformation across our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process mapping, hands-on experience with IFS systems, and a keen understanding of how AI technologies can be leveraged to enhance business efficiency and insight.  We work in a hybrid way, with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office at least twice a week to work with the team. Please note that travel to our Nottingham and Preston office may also be required on an ad hoc basis. With that in mind you will be located within a convenient commute to Walsall.
 
 The Business Analyst’s prime responsibility is to shape the projects and help with the feasibility review. The Business Analyst will be expected to run workshops to agree an outcome for the change required, identify the impacted areas and stakeholders and analyse the AS IS process to design the TO BE process. Once the project scope has been agreed, the Business Analyst will be expected to work with the project team to ensure the change is delivered to the agreed and defined outcomes.  
 
Principle Accountabilities
  • Run workshops to flesh out business ideas with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) 
  • Identify the goals of change and the key benefits for implementing these  
  • Identify the impacts on areas on the business and include stakeholders within the workshops 
  • Understand and document the business requirements in the most appropriate format i.e. Business Requirements Document, Customer Stories etc 
  • Analyse the AS IS process 
  • Model and record the AS IS process using appropriate techniques  
  • Identify the Use Cases for detailed analysis 
  • Run 1-to-1 meetings and workshops to get the details of the AS IS process where required 
  • Present the AS IS process in a logical approach 
  • Support the SMEs to design the TO BE process 
  • Model and record the TO BE process using appropriate techniques  
  • Develop activity diagram and Use Cases for TO BE process 
  • Walk through with tech for proposed solution 
  • Document outputs such as Business Requirements showing the detailed process / annotated wireframes, etc 
  • Ensure the business technical team understand requirements  
  • Provide peer to peer review and mentoring
  • Analysis of data in support of live issue resolution

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

Essential
  • Experienced in Scrum based methodologies  
  • Operational experience within regulatory environment 
  • Experienced in reporting to senior level 
  • Able to convert technical jargon to a senior business audience 
  • Influential and articulate presentation skills 
  • Degree Level Qualification 
  • Relevant Professional Qualification 
  • Computer literate – MS Office, Project & Visio (or other process modelling tool)
  • Knowledge of requirements gathering, solution design, full project lifecycle delivery; 
  • Desired experience of working on multiple projects at any given time, matrix management, FCA / insurance / utility sector
